Annex of Shimizu Institute of Technology

New Annex of Shimizu Institute of Technology is a 6-story steel structured building with gross floor area of 9,066m² designed to have base isolated capitals using laminated rubbers at the capitals of the ground floor. This building has a newly developed online health monitoring system to observe 25 elements of response acceleration, 2 elements of relative story displacement of the base isolation layers and 1 thermometer. Signals from the sensors, recorded in the observation system at the top of the building, are transferred to the monitoring service server through the network.
