Conservation of Heritage Structures Proceedings Posted

The Huey L. Long Bridge crosses the Mississippi River near New Orleans. As the only railroad bridge within 100 miles, and carrying an increasing load of trains and autos, it could not be closed. SHM became important to understanding the loading as the bridge was widened while also kept open.
